Strážmajster Cruchot tentokrát rieši prípad návštevníkov z kozmu, ktorí si pre svoje pristátie na Zemi zvolili práve Saint Tropez. Neráta ale s tým, že mimozemšťania sú schopní vziať na seba podobu akéhokoľvek človeka a najčastejšie sa zjavujú ako jeho kolegovia, prípadne krásne ženy, ktoré dokonale popletú hlavy ozajstných žandárov zo Saint Tropez. Pátranie sťažuje aj to, že v ich existenciu okrem Cruchota takmer nikto neverí, a tak ten pri dokazovaní ich prítomnosti používa naozaj svojské spôsoby.
